Excellent as always. The menu is a little limited due to the corona conditions. But the classics are there. Wienerschnitzel and Vorschmack. Service is impeccable and the feeling is very good.

Classic Finnish restaurant. Good food. Straight to the point service.
A place that captures some of the true spirit of the classic Helsinki and actually some of the Finnish 20th century spirit - many famous people have been here over the years. The service is very good and very correct. The staff are polite and knowledgeable, but don't expect them "selling" or talking too much, after all this place is about the Finnish spirit. Food is excellent, the meat dishes are a clear 5 but seafood could be improved a bit, after all Finland has a strong culture in fishing. (I may upgrade rating if this changes) I will be returning many times to this magnificent place!
Place is truly historical but not to my taste, maybe needs some refresh. Feels a bit shabby. Food was ok but nothing special. Food came to table a bit slowly. Staff was polite and very knowledgeable. Worth at least a one visit.
Prime example of why Finland is one of the most affordable northern European countries, the hundred years old michellin star rated Kosmos serves a fantastic complete lunch for 32 euros. The food is as good as it looks and I got the same treatment wearing jogging pants and a sweatshirts as locals in fancy suits. #vero #travel #food

Well-prepared dishes with good flavours and nice textures N6010.085' E2456.381' The first impression was not good. An abandoned terrace, while others were filled with people and a horse made of beer cans in the display window. Upon arrival, the receptionist asked us to pay for storage our coats in the cloakroom. Very unusual for restaurant. These first impressions were completely reversed by the Art Noveau interior of Alvar Aalto. Kosmos is a classic restaurant and a well known in Helsinki for its traditional Finnish atmosphere and classic dishes such as reindeer, sweetbreads, kidneys and succulent fish options. During our visit in May 2018, we ordered the three-course menu for 48 per person with salmon entrée or soup, reindeer or fish main courses and dessert. The main courses may not be very modern, but they tasted excellent. We just enjoyed well-prepared food with good flavours and nice textures. There is nothing wrong with that. Service is an integral part of a good dinner, which enhances the experience. At Kosmos, you can still witness professional old school waiters from the time when serving dinner guests was a lifelong profession before cheap part-time students retired them. Nothing less, the service was excellent. Kosmos serves good food, well prepared with great service. Recommended.
Hundred year old traditional restaurant. The Vorschmack is pretty heavy - favourite dish of Marshall Mannerheim!
