The worst customer service from Above Beach Cottages. They have you over a barrel. Made a booking at Porthleven cottage but couldn’t make the booking because we had to self isolate/covid, kids sent home from school because of positive covid test. Followed government guidelines to stay safe and do the right thing. Also checked company policy - ‘Any customers unable to take their holidays due to covid related legal restrictions have the following options.You would also be entitled to cancel your booking and receive a full refund of the amount paid for the holiday.’ Then had to wait 2 weeks for a reply, chasing the company, leaving messages repeatedly. Was eventually told that we wouldn’t get any refund, in contradiction of policy! Also told that we wouldn't get any credit either. A friend had the same experience with another holiday cottage company. They offered 20% reduced stay for a future booking. Why couldn't Above Beach do the same? Because Above Beach Cottages are profiteering from Covid. Pocketing hard earned money, penalising customers for following government guidelines. They've got you over a barrel. Have used the company in the past but definitely won't in the future. Neither should you.

We had a brilliant stay at Kestrel House and the cleanliness was impeccable. We had a problem with the lock safe because we did not know how to use it. A cheery lady arrived and helped within 30 minutes on a Saturday late afternoon. We would do a return trip to this house.

Another great stay in Helford Village. We have always used Above Beach Cottages and have found them to be very helpful. The cottages are all very well kept and clean. Will definitely be back again soon. Thank you

First time we have used this company - and what a delight it was ! They have wonderful cottages in Porthleven, which has to be our favourite Cornish village now. Plenty to do, see and places to eat. Booking simple, good travel and accommodation information, helpful, efficient and quick responses. Will definitely use again.

We have used Above Beach Cottages twice now and each time we found the team very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a beautifully clean and well equipped cottage with amazing views of sea and beach. We will be booking again for next year.
