We booked a recording session with Stephen and he was amazing. He worked really quick with still outstanding quality. He made our vision come to light. The studio was awesome with an awesome vibe. We will definitely be going back with more projects. I would highly recommend Helvig Productions to anyone regardless of genre.

Stephen has all the tools and knows how to use them - from making sure vocals pop, at which he is particularly adept, to carefully sorting out all the intricacies of the low end, and everything in between. He is particularly good with piano/keyboard parts and makes sure they are not buried, which I of course particularly enjoy. He also is responsive - not only in terms of promptly and professionally responding, but if something needs to be addressed, he addresses it and gets it right the first time, and manages to make everything work regardless of any of my comments/thoughts. He is also instrumental in keeping \the big picture\ of an album in mind, and making the tracks work together and speak to each other. So honored to be able to have Stephen help me with my projects, and look forward to many more!

I wish I could rate higher! Being very new to professional recording and all the ins and outs, I was very anxious in starting the process. Helvig Productions made that disappear the second I got there. I’ve never met someone so talented and musically ingenious as Stephen. I loved working with Stephen and Max! Amazing studio space not too far from downtown Excelsior. I went in with a half-completed song and by the end of the day I had a fully produced track. Super easy to talk to and bounce ideas around - which is SUPER important when you're spending hours in the studio. I was also really happy how covid-safe it was. I cant wait to work with Stephen again!
