Visited for my anniversary. Staff were very attentive. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were very tasty. Felt very special with the little detail of putting love on our desserts. Looking forward to our next visit

Compliments to the chef the stake was stunning! The only reason why I'm not rating it a 5* is due to the table service or should I say the lack of table service. & Then to have a waitress say to a customer loudly " Sorry our toilets are blocked" while others are eating not the greatest thought process. Price wise for the quality you get definitely worth it just make sure you ask for your chips to be cooked & not half done like ours 10/10 steak!
I would say the place probably deserves a 4.3 in terms of food but other things let it down. Okay starting off with the food, had the safari sharer, can’t really complain with that. Great selection of different meats and was a nice change. Our favourite was ostrich. Desserts were very nice aswell. I had the passion fruit creme brûlée and it was arguably better than the original. The passion fruit was more of a hint than a primary flavour but I think that’s what it should be like. The mum complained about the shortbread not being homemade or of a high quality but in the end I didn’t give a toss. Now for the service, I mean we got sat down quickly and our drinks came out quick. But for the mains, it took a whole hour of waiting for them. I guess we had some entertainment whilst waiting in the form of waiters going round the table getting the wrong tables for which they needed to give food to. To be honest the waiters did seem like they were a bit unaware of certain things but don’t take it personal I’m only 16 maybe I’m wrong. So as a result. Great food, Painful wait for it, and some unintentional entertainment. Would go again
I’ve been getting a takeaway from Boxmoor Steakhouse about once a fortnight throughout lockdown. Food is always excellent (particularly the steak and cheesecake) and the staff are very friendly. All in all a great place to have nearby.
Food was good but a bit too expensive. they made us pay more than shown on the menu. Flagged it with the staff and they gave us money back because we said so. Also, they were refurbishing the other room and it was so embarrassing to pay the bill with half of the ceiling on the floor... I'd love to say that i would go back soon, but it might be later. Disappointed
Definitely a place worth trying, the food is great and well prepared, the rates are fair and it is constantly well organized in here. Keep it up.
