I celebrated my birthday last night in this delicious restaurant. Well we had a sensational evening and the restaurant was evidently the reason for this successful event. The stuff cooperated in a splendid manner, the food was yummy and my friends were very overjoyed. We shall surely come back again for more events. Thank you very much.

Outstanding The mixed platter was divine, lovely and generous chutney platter with papadums, and there are numerous unusual dishes alongside a comprehensive range of Indian regulars. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Look forward to my next visit.

Mixed review for mixed experience tonight... My girlfriend and I are spending a week in the area and had high hopes for such a highly rated restaurant. What with the eat out to help out scheme we were not surprised that the restaurant was going to be busy, we couldn't get a 'late' dinner but agreed 6.15 would be ok. The restaurant wasn't full but even before I had a sat down I found myself negotiating the number of popadoms and ordering the drinks for the two of us... this felt rushed. The restaurant is a lovely place to eat, social distancing was appreciated, the place is comfortable and clean. The staff were smart and polite. The drinks came, the snacks were lovely and having ordered the Rezella and the Pathia from the 'Hot' section of the menu we were both disappointed with the lack of heat in our dishes. The meal had such lovely flavours, it wasn't like we didn't enjoy the food but wished for a lot more kick from the mains. We polished it off well, we weren't rushed further and were satisfied. It came as quite a cheat to look through the kitchen doors to see lines of \Pataks\ jars on the shelves, I am unsure how fair it is for curries and meals to have this as a foundation or otherwise, do all restaurants do this to a degree? I wouldn't have thought so. The price was a nice surprise, as I say the food was lovely but for the jars I can get from Tesco I am left with a slight bitterness...
