We contacted Steering Developments after seeing the company on the list of approved installers on the ELAP website. We e-mailed them with our story of having been let down by dealerships and other installers and Jeff contacted us the same day offering to have a closer look at our needs. Jeff has always been extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and was always ready to answer any questions we had. Eventually, we agreed to meet up at Palmers Peugeot in Watford to assess our needs and to ensure that the 3008 we were interested in was indeed suitable. He took the time to thoroughly discuss our options and the resulting adaptations have proved to be perfect for our requirements. We would highly recommend Steering Developments and specifically Jeff . Steve & Kirsty

I was saddened to see a previous one star review as I have the total opposite experience of SDL. I appreciated their concerns for my safety and the safety of others, which was clear as being paramount when discussing my needs. Polite, courteous and helpful team of people who care about each individual person, especially as disabilities can be such a sensitive topic to discuss. They are not about selling unsuitable equipment and I was given a detailed demonstration of suitable products and with that, good advice. Thoroughly recommend.

Unfortunately they proved to be unprofessional and unreliable in my case. Went there to discuss an adaptation; a solution was suggested and tested and I went home happy. After much wait and reminders when the quote finally arrived it included an item which was not mentioned or tested before, and which I did not think would help me. Their answer was \take it or leave it.\ I was forced to accept it. Then I received a request that I would need to have a driving assessment at a place of their choice. Again something not mentioned before. I sent them the requested assessment. The story ended some two months later with them going back on their words completely and refusing to install the adaptation they themselves suggested. Apparently the decision was made by somebody higher up , by a person who has never seen me. I don't think this is an acceptable way to treat a disabled driver s and going by my experience I cannot suggest any disabled driver to seek help from this company.
