My Dad went in for respite after a fall at home. The home is lovely as are the staff. He was well looked after whilst he was there and I dont feel that they could have done any more for him.

Put my mum in the lodge for respite for 10 days while I went away for a week. On the 6th day I had a call from them to say my mum had a fall and was in Watford general as she had cut her head. They said they had to send a carer to go with her at a cost of 25 per hour 35 for the first hour! The care cost 1285 for the 10 days care and we received a bill for197 for \extras\ this was the cost of the carer going to hospital with my mother. The hospital also found my mum had a urine infection from lack of hydration My mother said she only had one bath the whole time she was at the lodge and didn't get her feet washed. I am very disappointed with this care home and would not use again as I think mum will be safer at home with her carers coming in more often next time.
