like
Lots of remains of this historical castle.
Spent about 90 minutes here during a day exploring the Briere National Park. It was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a kids quiz trail to do. Almost as good as a trip to the World War 2 bunkers in Hightown.
The castle very much fits the stereotype of a medieval castle. It's surrounded by a moat and with a drawbridge. Some reviews complained about there are othing to see\. I think they missed the point. Yes it's a ruin but well preserved and feels very ancient (unlike some places which are overly modernized). There are also in fact interesting things to see such as well preserved symbols sculpted in to the walls
Pleasant way to spend an hour or so.
Worth straying off the beaten track for this ruined chateau
