The best parking fines in all of town

Absolute rubbery, I parked my car in front of Leuven city hall for less than 15 min, I saw a ticket on my car, was suspicious that I have not parked there more than 15 min, send email to OPC and received nonsense reply that we can not give more info. Send email to mobilitiet and asked for the exact time reading of the sensor. With sensor time duration, found out that I received the ticket just in 14:49 second (less than 15 min). Send couple of email and complaint, and finally they said my ticket is canceled!!! What a great parking service!!!

Based on my recent experience, I strongly advise drivers using a OPC parking meter to pay using a card instead of cash to ensure they have proof of payment. On 23/10/2019 I parked my car in Knokke-Heist in the Red Zone at 12.54 and paid Euro. 5 by MisterCash for the maximum permitted time of 2 hours i.e. until 14.54. However, on 18/11/2019 I was surprised to receive a letter from OPC informing me that I was being fined Euro. 30 for not having put money in the parking meter when the OPC parking warden claims to have checked at 14.09!! Since I could present proof of payment, the fine was cancelled.

THIEFS. I paid my parking and went to a store around the corner, the store was closed so I came back maybe 2 minutes later, already with a ticket in my window. No process online to claim your money back and you are forced to pay to avoid escalation.

This company is the filth of society. They lure in cities to join them to "boost local economy" but all they care about is writing as many tickets as possible. They dont care if the tickets are legit or not, they completely ignore communication (aside from a template response) and even ignore legal procedures. Twice I have dealt with this company and twice they just blattantly broke the law, just throwing on charges to force you to pay. I don't understand the people that willingly work for a firm like this and I never will. If somebody wants to take a combined legal action against these criminals I'd like to help as much as possible. The whole practice of fining people from a private firm should not be legal. Writing this review helps nobody and wont be read, but at least the truth is registered somewhere.

They try to write as much as fines as possible at times most people their parking disc expires. They'll also come back multiple times a day to be able to write multiple fines per day. This is pure bullying behaviour and should not be legal. This is what happens when things that should be done by public services get privatised. It is one of the causes that makes our society so bitter and asocial...
