Unfortunately the museum is closed today. The website indicates they are closed 12-1 on Sundays, but it's nearly 2pm and no one around. Also tourism information is closed too. There were some outdoor machinery displays that were interesting.

Very clean location with colorful areas that appeal to kids. Very professional and caring staff that are committed to helping kids. Staff are also very organized and helpful to assisting organizations that attend with the youth. All in all. If the need to come here happens again I will gladly make the drive.

What a surprise to find such a beautiful, well stocked, amazing little museum in the heart of Northern Canada! If you are going to Thompson, Manitoba, plan on staying a couple of days, as you will not be able to see the entire museum in just one visit. The cool gift shop, and helpful staff make this a must see attraction for all visitors to Thompson, Manitoba. Tours are available. Heritage North Museum is a Manitoba Star Attraction.

This space brings to life the birth and growth of Thompson and mining in the North.

Very good museum for the size. People are very nice, and it makes you have a lot of appreciation for what went into the building of this city.

So awesome. Lots of great resources about Thompson’s history. I just wish they would extend their hours. I never get the chance to visit anymore.
