The 2018 new head of school is never late because she rides a broom to work everyday. Totally unqualified to be in that position and does not have the temperament to be around children at all. There is a reason why all the good reviews for this school are a year old. This school is now a pig with lipstick.

LePort is a wonderful school that focuses on children's development. My son is in the Spanish immersion program and we are pleased with the amount of Spanish he is retaining. One of the best parts about LePort is that the parents who send their children to LePort are highly dedicated and involved in their child's academic and social-emotional development. All of the kids that attend the school are well behaved and the teachers are personally invested in ensuring that the children receive the best education.
My daughter was at Leport Reston a few years ago when it was Melissa Ann, mike and robin and we loved it. It was time to enroll our son into the toddler program but this place was a disaster. Great teachers but leadership was terrible. Mr. Mike is wonderful but the new head of school seems to be all over the place. Teachers look worn out and can’t seem to catch a break from her, even caught the head of school bickering with one of her teachers. Like the reviews before me, this place craves a new head of school. Unless the current head of school leaves, then it is best to go to another of their locations which have a better atmosphere when walking in.
I often joke I am going to ask LePort to build me a house on school property because my toddler and I LOVE this school so much. He started in the infant room at the Potomac Falls campus (an equally wonderful campus) and is now in the Spanish immersion program at Reston. The director, the school manager, the teachers are all WONDERFUL. My son is so happy at this school, he is learning and growing so much, and I feel so much support from the school as a parent. In our modern society, very few of us are lucky enough to raise our kids in a "village" environment, but at LePort, it really does feel like we have a village helping us raise our kids.
My son is turning 2 and is in the toddler class at Leport Montessori with Ms. Desiree & Ms. Karolina. He truly enjoys going to class, and runs out of my arms directly into theirs each morning. He has learned a lot from his classmates and enjoys engaging with the older kids. Over the summer they have fun water days (which he loved) and pizza Fridays. Ms. Desiree is in constant communication with parents and I love getting her daily picture updates as well. Both Ms. Desiree & her assistant Ms. Karolina genuinely care and pay a lot of attention to each child. The administrative staff is also very kind and efficient. This is a very caring and friendly environment. Highly recommend.
We started our journey with LePort at their Potomac Falls campus where we fell in love with Ms. A.J. Allen in the Primary class. When the Potomac Falls campus was closed we made the decision to follow Ms. A.J. to the Reston campus. The campus is beautiful and we love the new Natural Playground! Our daughter had a very smooth transition to the new campus, and we felt very welcomed by Ms. Melissa Anne and Ms. Robin, and of course Mr. Mike who also came from Potomac Falls made sure we were taken care of. Our daughter has made new friends and loves the exciting in house field trips and experiences she gets to experience. LePort follows the Montessori teaching principles and our daughter is starting to read at age 3 and loves going to school to learn new and fun things daily; we have seen such growth from her in the 11 months she had been a LePort student.
Went for a tour of this place in 2018. There was some creepy looking Janitor guy at the front desk. We met the head of school who was totally unprofessional and seemed to be arguing with the staff there. You can immediately tell that this place is starving for seasoned leadership.
This school is not only a high quality montessori education that nurtures and guides a child's nature desire to learn, as a single parent, I truly feel like the staff and teachers have partnered with me in parenting my little girl. They communicate well and keep me informed of any changes (including notifying us by email if there is a substitute in the class for the day) and respond quickly to any questions or concerns I may have. My daughter loves going to school and working on everything from learning letters to making bread. Mr. Mike, Ms. Robin, and Ms. Melissa Anne are a warm and efficient front office staff that works hard together to creating a safe and consistent learning environment where the staff is supported and the children are nurtured and guided into their best selves. They work hard to foster a sense of community with the parents through regular community events. Ms Liliana is a fantastic spanish immersion primary montessori education teacher, but all the teachers work together with years knowledge, patience, strength of character, and love to facilitate the learning, growth, and well rounded development of the children . There are also a variety of special activities to sign up for year round, including: soccer, ballet, yoga, and more specific music than is learned in the class. I cannot recommend this school highly enough! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I have looked elsewhere and while on the surface, other schools may look great, this one has the lasting good substance underneath. It is not the cheapest place, but it is worth every penny. They do offer financial aid, so ask if you are interested! :)
