This place is under new ownership and I would strongly NOT RECOMMEND them. We ordered a tent and some tables and chairs for our small, backyard wedding and had 4 MAJOR ISSUES with them. 1.\tEmailed us 5 days before the wedding asking to change the tent size - Very unprofessional and added unnecessary stress to my wedding. 2.\tSpray painted our whole yard – When the person came to check for wires, he spray painted our entire yard, up and down, with bright red, orange, and green paint. When I told Harriet’s, they put the blame solely on the company that did that, which is incredibly immature. They are the ones who hire this company and should take full responsibility for what they do. 3.\tEmailed 3 days before the wedding to tell us they were setting everything up that day – Our contract said one day before the wedding. We certainly did not want our entire backyard unavailable for 3 extra days prior to the wedding. Again, they added unnecessary stress during an otherwise very happy time in our lives. 4.\tThe BIGGEST ISSUE is that they WITHELD INFORMATION from us about the size that we would need for the tent. They only told us the dimensions of the tent but didn’t tell us that they would need many feet on either side as well as 18 inches from any wires. Our original tent size wouldn’t have fit at all. Even with the smaller tent, the new info meant that we could not have the tent where we wanted it. (We could have fit it smack in the middle of the yard but that would have interfered with the ceremony). We ended up simply not using the tent, the weather was lovely, and we had a wonderful wedding, no thanks to them. When I called them to discuss these issues, they placed blame on others and did not take any responsibility for their mistakes. In conclusion, I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT USING HARRIETS FOR ANY OF YOUR TENT NEEDS.

Renter's beware. Harriotts party rentals screwed us over. We reserved a fondue fountain a couple of months ago. At the time of rental, the gal said \it does chocolate and cheese\. I said, perfect, that was going to be my next question - can it do cheese. The gal even asked her manager standing right next to her while we spoke. Yesterday we called before picking it up to ask if it required a certain kind of cheese. It was at that time the owner told us we could not use it for cheese. I explained that we asked at the time of reservation and we were assured it would be fine. About five minutes later the owner calls back and said she checked the owners manual and it said it does in fact work with cheese. Great! We are on our way. When we went in to pick up the fountain, the owner said after further consideration she wasn't comfortable renting it to us for cheese and gave us our money back. It was less than 24 hours to party time and we didn't have the ONE thing the graduate asked for. As if that wasn't bad enough, while we were there we asked them to talk to the associate who confirmed it would be fine to use with cheese. She said as a matter of fact it is this gal standing next to me. That employee immediately denied the conversation ever took place and called us liars. Bottom line, don't count on Harriotts for your party rental needs.
