Quaint restaurant in an old village with very good typical German food. The waitress was wise in advising only having one of Grandma's Potato Dumplings, as they are huge! We sat in the outside courtyard in front of the restaurant, in the wonderful atmosphere of the very well restored village. Worth a side trip to see and experience.

This is one of, if not our favorite restaurants in Germany. It's in a quaint setting on the 14th century village of Herrstein. The service is always friendly, and the food is outstanding. You have to try Grandma's potato dumpling.

Medieval inn with Hunsrück cooking - what's not to like? They have no internet but there is a free hotspot at the nearby tourist office.
