I was recommended by a good friend to Dr. Hirsch, started going to him back in 2017. I got the feeling he was knowledgeable and has lots of years of experience. Went for an annual check up and everything ok. When my husband and I decided we were ready to get pregnant I went back to Dr. Hirsch, he prescribed prenatal vitamins and told me that if in six months I wasn’t pregnant to come back. ... for the past week I’ve been calling doctor’s office to schedule an energy appointment due to heavy bleeding and abdominal pain and couldn’t get in touch with the receptionist. I ended up going to urgent care today and they sent me to get an ultrasound. I explained the fact of trying to get pregnant and they asked if my Obgyn has done any blood work for hormones level, which I answered he has not. I called Dr. Hirsch office again and explain what has happened and the receptionist said she cannot give me an appointment until next Wednesday, then I asked if he does blood work at the office and she responded “I don’t know, you have to come and discuss it with the doctor” . Meanwhile every time I go there I have a 50 copay even just to talk to the doctor. Also he has an old, black and white ultrasound machine that he does the ultrasound and then sent you with a referral to get an a proper ultrasound, but the insurance don’t pay for the ultrasound he does in the office because it needs to be at a imaging center to get paid from the insurance so I had to pay 50 copay for that also. I called my insurance and they said Dr. Hirsch shouldn’t have charged for that, but they didn’t reimbursed the money. Out of this, make your own conclusion. If I could have given him one 0 stars I would. Receptionist is not kind at all, does not understand the fact of an emergency. Find another Obgyn.
