Informative and engaging talks by qualified staff but heavily dependent on weather. Staff are passionate about what they do and that’s came across right from the start. We felt cheated as we bought tickets for Aurora night and apparently the staff themselves haven’t seen many! But the kids enjoyed staying up late, hot chocolate and walking in pitch back darkness and it is a charity.

Wow! Quite a lovely walk from the visitor centre to the observatory. Best walk was on the red route through the forest back to the car. Ten miles roind. And no complaints from the little ones! Take midgy spray

Although the observatory itself was closed it still has great views from the balcony across the forest and Skyspace has a great echo inside

Went up last week hoping the weather would be good. Sadly it wasn't. But I couldn't deny the fact that the team kept us all entertained for 3 hours which is great considering we couldn't see a single star. The talks and presentations were really entertaining and the team were able to be fun and very educational. I will be going back hopefully with a lot less cloud.

Firstly the team are all fantastic, but sadly as per many reviews the weather was not in our favour. Why not offer a discounted return tickets if the weather is poor??? We had a 4hr return trip to look at trees through the telescope by the lake due to cloud cover. And why no baby change in the toilet, my wife had to change our little one on her coat on the floor. However definitely learnt something, found the talks very informative.....
