The wall itself is meh, but the history regarding the wall, and how long it is both ways. I reccomend an excursion and having a good guide with you.

Great history - taking the free walking tour. The staff are so knowledgeable and pointed out everything, plus showed us where we could walk on the Wall itself. Fabulous!

Nice to see the remains of a Roman arch at the Fort's gate. It is also interesting as you can see the the gate would be very difficult to use because of the terrain. However, when the Romans said they would build a fort every Roman mile along the wall then that is exactly what they did!

It's old, but you get a sense of history, hard to belove it is 1500 years old, we can't build houses that last a tenth of that now!
