Good car park, pay when leaving. Very helpful and friendly staff who have your safety in mind all the time we were there. Enjoyed a drink and scone in the well spaced well run Caffe followed by a nice walk on the roof garden.

Loved it here, felt refreshed after walking to Sycamore Gap, it's a lovely walk and good to be in the countryside

The cafe was the place to relax and grab a hot drink and a bite to eat after our morning visit to Sycamore Gap. Staff were very friendly and the cafe had a few good vegan options. I highly recommend the vegan pasty, it was delicious. There is also a vegan brownie, soup of the day (which was vegan) and plant-based milks for hot drinks. There was also good social distancing measures in place throughout the building and a nice little gift shop and art gallery downstairs. Overall a really nice visit.

Really enjoyed my first visit to the Eco friendly Sill visitors centre in an unspoilt part of Northumberland next to the Roman Wall. Wide range of interesting exhibits and facilities. Impressed by the socially distanced environment and the very friendly and helpful staff. Thoroughly recommend a visit to the centre. Will definitely be coming back

Had lunch here yesterday, really recommend the spicy vegan pasty - I'm full on carnivore but the pasty was lush. Reasonable service. The queuing system was iffy, it was raining hard, lots of people were waiting for tables, I think you were supposed to enter via a door that only opens from inside but was kept closed because of the rain. Therefore everyone wanting to queue had to enter via an exit door and push past others - in rather close proximity and also queue more closely together than was comfortable in the current situation. Other than that it was a nice visit.

Lovely visit, incredibly quiet in the centre despite being a very sunny Saturday. We walked up to Sycamore Gap which was definitely one of the busier routes but still not overly so. We enjoyed lunch in the cafe which was very quiet, lots of tables available. Clear measures in place and the majority were abiding the rules. We will definitely visit again soon.

The Sill has a nice rooftop exhibition about the geography and natural history of the landscape around the place. Inside the exhibits were not accessible at the time of my visit due to the pandemic. The cafe is awesome and has something for everyone. The sycamore gap (Robin hood tree) is a 45 mins hike from the Sill via the military route next to the Hadrian wall and has many steep places. However a lower stanegate route or civilian route is fairly easy to walk from the Sill and takes 25 mins.
