La Balade des Gnomes is awesome! We stayed in two rooms: la route du vin and la quartier de lune and both were wonderful. The creativity in designing the themes had us wandering around the rooms, snapping photos, and discussing all the details. In la route du vin real wood, reclaimed wood, tin work, stained glass, fabrics, old barrels and other wine themed furniture filled our labyrinth of a room. There were 2 beds up in what I'd call a treehouse above a vineyard and the master bed was i a cave below. The dining area had a table that you could raise and lower. The lunar room had a cool spaceship bed and the bathroom rood openned like a clamshell up and down like a spaceship. Little touches like the Jamacian flag on the bed spaceship made our stay all the more fun as we looked for other 'easter eggs'. The staff was excellent and served us a fabulous 3 course meal for dinner in our room. Breakfast was a delightful artistic take on European standards and very filling breakfast fare. We all look forward to going back and staying in what looks like a Trojan Horse!

We stayed in the “horse” in July. It was an incredible experience for my kid and even my husband and myself. The “horse” was full of surprises! The breakfast was really delicious. The hostess was very nice and patient in explaining everything for us. Only my daughter knows very little French and we communicated by French, English and body language.
Amazing place ! You are immediately transferred in an other world ! Every details are awesome ! We were staying in the Trolls’ bedroom and it was a real pleasure ! Don’t come here for luxury or relaxation, come here to live an experience. The floor cracks, the doors are small and difficult to open, the rooms are small and crowded by furnitures and decorations. 4 stars instead of 5 just because the bathroom is not so practical and you ear what’s going in the other rooms (and especially the corridor) A LOT. However, this is part of the magic of this place ! If you want to spend a night in the fantastic world of trolls, faeries and other mystic creatures, don’t hesitate a minute ! Crew is also very friendly, parking is large and breakfast is complete.
Really really cool place, the concept is great and I'm looking forward to come back and try some of their other rooms. It seems otherworldly and is a great place to break away from life. One minus point for me is the fact that for the price they should update their bathroom facilities. As much as I love being in a fairy tale, the bathroom has to be of the highest standard for 5 stars.
The rooms are really great ! We had the African themed room for a night and we loved it. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and original (fun concept for the shower) and the service was nice. Be aware that I you are tall (or even just above average) you might find the bed too small and the room might feel a bit cramped as well.
Very unique hotel includes 3 buildings, all on a hillside in the rural area of town. We only drove around it as we were short on time. I would like to have gone into the restaurant but didnt have time.
It's an incredible place to have dinner for sure. Main menu is amazing.
Authentic experience living in this remarkable hotel. Would love to come again.
