When I went to the emergency room or Urgent Care the staff in the emergency room are very helpful very kind and caring. But when I was submitted into the hospital I cannot speak for all the nurses that was rude but it was one male nurse that was very. The rest of the nursing staff was very helpful and kind. But being a patient in this hospital is horrible I'm sorry but it is the honest truth and I pray to God that I never have to go back to this Hospital I prefer Hialeah Hospital anytime alphabet something happened I prefer Hialeah Hospital can do a whole lot better

I spent a whole week in this hospital with my mother. It was horrible. I was petrified when we got to the room and saw this ringer that is used to call the nurses. There was no intercom whatsoever from the rooms. When a patient rang the bell all the nurses would scream in the hallways to see who rang the bell, this was horrible!! Another issue was the TV, this hospital is in the heart of Hialeah and most of its patients are his Hispanic older people. The TV only had a few English channels. It did not have any Spanish speaking channels. You could see all the patients complaining about this because they did not have TV. Another issue was the cleaning. The cleaning lady went from room to room cleaning the toilets and then the sink with the same DIRTY brush, and they did not clean the shower at all... and I was there a whole week. Also, there is only one phone (landline) per room, but there are two beds per room. Meaning, one of the patience could not receive any calls (of course there is hardly any signal on the cell line) To top it off, the medications my mom needed where not available at the time she needed them. Thank god my mom took her own medications and she ended up taking her medications (specially heart medication) from her own because they were never available on time. I would definitely never go back there and do not recommend anyone does.

The only reason why I give a one star is because I cannot give a 0. My mother was admitted to Larkin Community Hospital on September 22, 2020. She was discharged September 26, 2020. On the morning of September 27, 2020 I contacted the hospital to ask several questions, one of them was regarding clarification on the plan of treatment which didn’t make any sense and regarding a burn on her right arm with a liquid and bubbles (which I have pictures of). I asked to speak to a Nurse, per the desk secretary the Nurse whom discharged my mother the night prior was not there to ask. I stated that everything should be documented on her chart which any Nurse working the shift may look into and advice regarding our questions and concerns. Per the secretary there was no one that can answer those questions and concerns and that she was by herself. I then asked to speak to the Nurse in charge, per the secretary there was no Nurse in charge working that day. I felt as if no one wanted to be responsible to speak to our concerns. The secretary advised me to call the attending Dr. whom took care of my mother while admitted. She provided a phone which I called and no one answered, not even an answering service. I’m extremely upset at the fact that no one in this Hospital was able to help answer our questions or maybe no one wanted to take responsibly over the situation. The lack of professionalism and compassion is absurd. I will never ever allow any of my relatives to go to the Hospital under any circumstances. I’ve worked in the medical field for 19 years and I’ve never experienced such negligence. I will file a formal complaint thru the proper channels because is very unfortunate that this is how some Hospitals treat their patients.

If I could give zero I would. Worse service ever. My grand father was discharged because they said they couldn’t do more they diagnosed him with cancer. They stated to take him to another hospital and claim he was in pain( which he was not) . We get to the other hospital turns out he also has advance pneumonia which Larkin either omitted to let us know or didn’t diagnose it in his chest X-ray . Hospital is dirty and doctors and nurse are confused and all give you different information. Please please if you care about your family member do not take them to Larkin.

Worse hospital ever. They don’t take proper care of their patients. They don’t respect the families especially during a time like this with Covid. They gave me a bad attitude when wanting an update with for a family member. Honestly, I don’t want apology. I want this hospital shut down or have a clean house. This is not the first time they did this to my family. Shame on this hospital for allowing their nurses mistreat patients.
