I'll be very honest here in saying that I tend to only give businesses one chance to do me right and if they ever try to swindle or get one over on my, I consider that to be the only and last chance they get. That being said, Mr. Tire(formerly Clark's Tire) has been good to me for the longevity of it's time in my residence in Hickory (close to 13 years now). Tom was great and he was first but I have had nothing but good things to say about the fellows over there. I have had some trouble with them prioritizing others while I was scheduled to have stuff done, but other than that I have had pretty good experiences with them on the whole. Tires are always put on and balanced quickly and proficiently. Only had an issue one time where they did oil on my wife's jeep and didn't reset the counter. I am kinda tight so I don't tend to accept a price unless I thoroughly research and present all prices from surrounding businesses and areas. This tends to get a \better\ price afterwards, so take that as you will but I still get great quotes every time. Good guys and they do good work. I can speak from experience...

This was my first time visiting here and I was extremely impress! Chris and Jason were the nicest people. They make you feel very welcome and have such good hospitality! They were quick at changing my oil and rotating my tires. I will most definitely be going back there in the future! I was very satisfied! Thank you to them for being so nice and such great people!

Terrible experience. I will not return nor recommend Mr Tire following today. I had a blowout and needed to get a replacement tire and have it put on my rim. This happened on a Saturday around 5pm. Knowing it would be a tight timeframe I called ahead to make sure I'd have time to have the tire put on the rim. The guy I spoke to said he'd do it as long as I got there before 6. I put it into my GPS and it showed me arriving at 5:50. I told him and he gave me the okay and I flew there. I get there at 5:53 and approach the technician. He tells me they're closed, the machines are shut down, and there's nothing he can do for me. I show them the call to the establishment and verify the address to make sure I came to the right one. At this point the technician tells me the equivalent of I'm SOL and leaves. It's 5:56 at this point. I came 40 minutes out because I needed my tire changed before Sunday because most places are closed. I will actively recommend AGAINST using the services of Mr Tire from here on out.

I took my car in for a brake inspection. They told me I needed new brake pads and rotors. I was going to make the repairs myself, so they put my wheels back on. They used a pneumatic tool and accidentally cross threaded two of the lug studs. When I took it back to my place to make the repairs, one of the studs snapped. I had to drive precariously to another shop and had them replace the broken and stripped studs. I called the manager of Mr tire to explain the situation but the customer service was poor. The manager insinuated that I didn't understand how lug nuts were put on and that the only place that could remove a wheel was a mechanic. This clearly isn't true and I will never be using a mr tire again. If proper procedure was followed by the mechanics there would have been no issue. I understand that mistakes happen but nothing was done by management to remedy the situation. I recommend you find a local shop to do your repairs.
