A beautiful shrine set in a nice neighborhood right by a sports field. As you cross the Tori gate, you can’t help but being drawn to the guardians. One is with a bomb, which I have seen before. It was very clean, serene and peaceful to experience and enjoy just relaxing in the environment.

It is an old shrine (founded 350 years ago) to enshrine the protector god of Yokohama. At that time, Yokohama was a tiny fishing village in a bell-shaped gulf (estuary) where nearby Ooka and Nakamura river were connected to the ocean. A rich merchant (Yoshida Kanbei) reclaimed the site from the shogunate and created vast rice fields. The legend says that the builders couldn't finish the land fill so 11 years later they decided to sacrifice a young lady to the gods of the river in order to succeed - a custom known as \hitobashira\ (human pillar). The name of the lady was \O-san\ so Osannomiya (O-san's shrine) was a temple to honour her sacrifice.

いつもなら初詣で一日凄い並んぶから、今年は2日の夕方行ってみたけど少し並ぶ羽目になってしまった。間隔をあける為のマークなど工夫があった。狛犬もマスクをしていたwww
お三の宮日枝神社。 横浜市営地下鉄、吉野町駅からすぐ。 小学校の通りを挟んで、向かい側にあります。 マスクをした狛犬がかわいい。
江戸城の山王日枝神社からの枝らしい、 会社(支店部所)で安全祈願に毎年行っている。呼び方はおさんのうさんの変化でさんのみやに成ったらしい？
別名はお三の宮 創建は1673年、本牧の吾妻神社と同じく砲弾狛犬が印象的。 珍しい山王鳥居に、センサー式の手水舎と小さな境内は見処あります。
