The grooming staff are phenomenal with dogs. We have a pit-something-or-other-rescue and literally everyone is sweet to her from the door to the bath to the register. Genuinely nice staff.

Ugh, your store is so frustrating to shop in. I used to purchase the Fancy Feast cans of food there at least every 2 weeks. Then you went all natural so, we ended up driving a little farther to get what are Cats (4) would eat. I stopped in your store to purchase water filters and an aquarium filter. I noticed that there some dry Cat food bags with OOPS on them and they were marked down by 50% so, I grabbed 2. However, (and this ALWAYS happens with your OOPS bags), the new price was not in the system and the clerk had to call a Manager to approve the override. This time I had no patience, it is COVID and there were customers behind me. I did not purchase the OOPS bags. If you mark something down, please make sure it is noted in your system. This has happened to me at Petco for years, it is NOT noted which delays me and your customers behind me. I shop at PetSmart, they make it easy.
I was trying to buy a beta fish, but ultimately could not after being interrogated by staff, concerned I wasnt properly prepared for this complex life of animal husbandry. Worst counter help ive ever seen. Petco is great but avoid this store at all costs, unless you want an over privleged, under cooperative, 16 year old, et al to give you a hard time. I asked to speak to the manager and an 18 year old quickly defended the clerk, rather than advocate for the customer. I was buying 50-60 lbs of aquarium gravel, and was shocked the clerk refused to help me out with a box for easier carrying, let alone offer to have someone help me out with it. I just left the 75 purchase there. Petco in Deerfield, the worst example of customer service around.
