Hi, my name is Susie, I turned 50 and who knew I would start falling apart, well kind of. I just had to undergo a total left hip replacement due to Advanced Osteoarthritis. I had requested that I be placed at Highlands Rehab in-patient as I wanted my recoup to be fast unfortunately, my insurance denied me. Thankfully, I was able to get physical therapy on an out patient basis. I started therapy 3 times per week about 1 week after my surgery and I already notice such progress. I chose Highlands because of the great memories that I have on the care that both my mother and father, who are no longer with, received while at Highlands in-patient many many years ago. My brother is also currently at Highlands as he was impacted by Covid and has had to work hard at rebuilding his lungs and physical body as Covid affected him immensely but we are so thankful that he is still with us. I didn't think twice to place him at Highlands where I am also so greatful to see all the progress he has made. My parents were seen at Highlands back in 2005-2006 and it is such a testament to the care of the team that now both my brother and I are being cared for in the same caring and compassionate way that my parents were. I am so appreciative of Highlands staff as I know first hand that they strive to provide compassionate, quality care every day!

Everyone was helpful, friendly & courteous. Everything was explained, they treated me with respect & like a person. Therapy is rigorous however, you can take breaks as needed.

My mother was sent to highlands after hip surgery, while there of course we could not see her due to covid restrictions, after a few weeks she was sent back to hospital for breathing issues, Highlands never called to let us know she had been transferred by ambulance to the ER . We only found out when the hospital called for information to Admit her Which is just not cool at all. Worst part is when we asked to pick up her personal belongings they at first couldn't find any of her things, after pressing the issue we went to pick up her things and sure enough they/someone stole her the back pack she had all of her things in.. Gave us plastic bags so we know they just dumped her stuff out and kept the bag..friggin thieves Karma will take care of that individual Hey Highlands have some respect for someone going through hard times Remember you gotta be human first

After Bi-lateral knee surgery my stay at Highlands was for eight days. Amazing staff and attentive Doctors. The Physical and Occupational Therapist's were awesome. Last but not least out-patient physical therapy. Feel like a new person. Thank you Highland Rehab for such a great facility. Feeling so blessed.
