Growers and traders of flower bulbs and perennials in all continents supply living products in the best possible quality to satisfy gardeners and flower producers. These products need perfect care before planting, also during storage and transport. Most commonly used crates will not be returned to the supplier afterwards, causing a crowded market for used crates and finally unnecessary waste. Utilysys® collapsible crates have been designed with strict requirements in terms of firmness and excellent ventilation capacity in order to meet the demands of this supply chain. The crate has been tested since in several laboratory and commercial situations. The companies using the crates are satisfied, because of the benefits. The products arrive in excellent condition and the crates are being sent back empty to the supplier afterwards occupying only 20% of the space they needed before they were collapsed. The crates are suitable to be integrated in automated processing. The dimensions are adapted to standardized pallets. Each crate has a unique in-moulded bar-code.
