Great place for a walk. At the moment it's a busy place so just be aware of this. As you may have to park on the road or the overflow car park. The overflow car park is at the school just up a bit from the forest. A lot of work going on at the moment improving the walkways and cleaning up the forest. There is no restrooms here at the moment as the play park is closed because of work going on. There is small coffee van in the car park now. So handy for the coffee fix, just please remember to bin the cup. Not just dropping it on the ground as its sad to see people just dropping their rubbish. From coffee cups, sweet wrappers, plastic bag/bottles and their face mask. Come on its not that hard to take it with you and can some of the dog walkers. Take the bag of dog muck with them to the bin. The park is not just for you its for everyone to enjoy. Take only memories and leave only footprints

Quite a nice place to spend a pleasant few hours, especially during the warm summer months. One can stroll around the forest lake past the inevitable anglers at the waters edge waiting for that elusive "bite". Alternatively a large open green space next to the walled garden seems to be popular with young families. A big attraction is the dozens of tame swans, geese and ducks always eager for food morsels from the public. An indication of just how popular this place has become in recent times is the almost constantly full free car park with thoughtfully added picnic benches. In other words, get there early to enjoy all the facilities !
