Well worth the annual membership. We come here with the kids every couple of weeks. Great that dogs are not permitted, unlike anywhere else you don't have to watch where you're walking and kids can run free!

A really unique place to visit as off 2019 it's still relatively a new opening. You can either go to just the restaurant/gift shop, pay to visit the gardens or pay extra to visit the castle on a scheduled tour (every 45 minutes). Although the tickets are quite pricey (15-20 per Adult) it's worth a trip and a day can easily be made out of it as the grounds are quite substantial to cover.

I visited the gardens on a frosty but sunny winter afternoon, and they were magical. The sunlight made everything sparkle and the water in the lake was like glass. There's so much to see now after the recent renovations, and I'm really looking forward to returning in the spring to see the daffodils and tulips.

An exceptional morning in stunning surroundings. A carryout coffee and scone supplied by Yellow Door added to the pleasure of the morning. Lit pumpkins were distributed throughout the grounds and the children took great delight in finding them in some unusual situations. The sun on the autumn leaves and swans on the lake made this a perfect walk on an autumn morning.

Loved our day out walking the 96 acres of beautiful gardens, taking in the lakes, walled garden full of produce, trials and the castle itself. The interior of the Castle unfortunately had just closed to the public for the winter but we were not left disappointed. Granted the sun shone in a clear blue sky which always helps but it would be hard to be disappointed when you visit regardless of weather. Great restaurant laid out for Covid safe serving using the latest Q/R coding. Large gift shop also.
