Milo, my border Collie is well on the road to recovery after surgery to stabilise his right hock. Many thanks to the excellent veterinary surgeon Rob and his nursing team for their amazing care and advice over many months. It is lovely to have a happy dog once more!

I visited NiVS with my little dog Belle last week and she was so well looked after. Aidan explained all the problems with her and what would happen so I felt at ease and understood what was happening. Best of all they were so kind and gentle with her that she wasn't bothered about leaving! Top class care and really nice people.

Our JRx Cara has been in NIVS care this week. Absolutely outstanding Veterinary Specialists. And the kindness and care shown to Cara has been so wonderful. Thank you for looking after our furbaby with such first class professionalism and care.

My bulldog puppy Reggie was struggling with his water works due to creating stones in his bladder and causing him to be blocked. He had previous surgery carried out on him at our local vets but that was unsuccessful due to the severity of his condition. Myself and the family where at our wits end unable to get him the surgery he required as no one was available or that keen to do it until I rang a friend who is a practicing vet. He recommended the taking him to the guys at Ni Vets Specialist and told me to get referred there which I did. The next morning Rob was able to get Reggie into the practice despite the complications that Covid 19 had created. He was so professional and explained everything so well it put us at ease immediately. The procedure he needed is not common and not straightforward but thankfully Rob adams did an amazing job and has given us back our rascal puppy. Reggie had to stay in the practice for three nights and was so well looked after by the vets and nursing staff who rang us a minimum of twice a day with updates on how he was doing. Rob kept in touch with us about his recovery and he had a check up appointment around 10 days later. He has even been in touch since then to see how he is, absolutely fantastic after care. As my friend who is vet said to me, would you rather have your dog operated on by someone performing these procedures regularly or someone who does possibly a few in an entire career. When I heard that it was a no brainier and honestly once we got Reggie there I knew we were in the best place for him. I can not recommend NI Veterinary Specialists enough and am so thankful we were made aware of them as I didn’t know that you could get referred to specialists, it’s definitely the way to go for your pets.

Our little dog Finlay was diagnosed with tonsillar carcinoma in late 2019,our vet referred Finlay to Northern Ireland Veterinary Specialists,I received my appointment from NIVS for early January 2020.We had an hour long consultation with Aidan who talked me through the options for Finlay’s treatment, also because Finlay has a heart problem and with the surgery it was decided that Finlay had a scan of his heart as he would be having an anaesthetic. The cardiology team were able to do this the same day.,so I left Finlay for this procedure and within two hours Aidan had rung me to say I could collect Finlay and he was good to go ahead with his surgery. So late January he was booked in for his surgery,I knew Finlay was in the best hands and I left him in early morning,I was just a little apprehensive but Finlay went through into the consultation room not a care in the world and he walked off with Aidan not even looking around to me.For me it was a long couple of hours but when the call came through to say everything went brilliant I was relieved.Finlay stayed the night for the team to keep an eye on him and I collected him the following day at lunchtime.I cannot thank Aidan and his team enough for what they have done for Finlay. A wonderful practice,I can not recommend them highly enough, thank you Judith and Finlay
