I have now eaten at Sakura twice. The sushi is quite exquisite. It is beautifully prepared and presented. The staff is friendly and attentive without being to attentive. Everything I've had so far was delicious and the prices are very fair for Big Island. I definitely recommend Sakura and I can't wait to go back.

Great chicken katsu. Sushi fresh raw oysters its great food. Great service Michael our favorite waiter knows automatically our drinks. He is very personable with us. Fried cheesecake for desert oh boy awesome.must go if you haven't gone there.
One of the best sushi spots in town! Prices are pretty average and have an assortment of options, including vegetarian. Often times there's a line and a waiting list so make sure you get added to it preferably before you get in line. Otherwise I'd recommend special rolls if you're trying to get the most good for your money otherwise the chef rolls are the most delicious!
Been there numerous time to eat, they are consistent most of the time. The food, in my opinion is standard fare you would get in any decent Japanese restaurant. I've had their chicken teriyaki probably six times now... the last time it seemed as if it was a half serving, that has happened once before. I'll go back, but I think I'll begin to search for other options.
One of my favorite sushi places in Hilo. Everything I've tried has been fantastic. I try and save it for more special occasions as it's somewhat pricey and the decorating makes it just feel upscale and classy, which it is.
Recently got food poisoning from eating here. My husband and mother in law got upset stomach’s as well. Terrible wait service. Almost 30 minutes to get a refill on hot tea and not even once came by to check how we were doing. I did enjoy the sushi I ordered but sad to say I won’t be back, not do I recommend this place to anyone. We have far better sushi restaurants here in Hilo!
Come here often, food always good. Service tonight was some of the worst service I've experienced in Hilo. Server made several mistakes on order, non apologetic . She had attitude through the night, walked away from table twice as we was talking to her. We asked for green tea and we had to let it sit for over 10 minutes to cool off to drink. She took a napkin next to our plates to put cups of tea of table because how extremely hot it was. I also wouldn't call it green tea, because it tasted like straight water we poured it into a clean bowl on table and it was clear. Server needs more training on customer service. Cooks doing great as always.
Fell in love with this place two years ago. Its a wonderful escape zone from the normal Hilo Menus. Clean, cool AC environment. The food is beautifully presented and tastes delicious.
