Friendly place my dad has COPD so struggles carrying his kit the guys there where the first to offer to take his kit to his peg for him.. And he had a good days fishing aswell What more can you ask for...
Been twice in the last month and can't wait to return, lots and lots of bites,very well stocked lakes, if bagging up for carp and a very great days fishing is your thing then I 100% recommend Maynes lakes, stumbled across the fishery when I took the wrong exit for stoke golding oops, could do with a sign on the opposite side of the entrance as it can be hard to miss the entrance at times, the owner John is a top bloke always willing to answer any questions regarding fishing rules and what bait to use and not what to use, is a small fishery complex and sometimes has matches on but check with John first and he will put you right cost 5 for one rod for the day and very reasonable at that, taking my nephew with me next time as he has just started up fishing and will be in for a treat next time so can't wait to return, only downside is no toilet facilities but since when has that put anyone off fishing, if bagging up for carp is your thing then give maynes lakes Hinckley a blast you won't be disappointed, and forgot to mention no floating baits allowed and secondly dip all nets before fishing commences, apart from no toilets it doesn't bother me but based on a great days fishing 5/5 wish it was 10/10 because I would give the lakes that on the amount you are likely to catch, so give the fishery a blast and be prepared for a great days fishing and big bites too, all lakes are well stocked with carp and some big specimens too, caught some roach so some sprats amongst the bigger fish for the young to have a go at. Loved it fished lake two today. Well sheltered pool's. Had a good laugh with the boss. Will definitely go back.
