Recently went for lunch here with two young children and a friend. Sitting outside is hit and miss but luckily for us the sun came out and it was very pleasant. The play area was nice for the children. All staff members we saw were really kind, polite and helpful. Food was great, you can’t beat a good pub lunch!

Start with the positive points. The food was nice and a decent portion size. The is a good price for the quality and quantity. Negative points. Ordered a dessert apple pie and custard. The pie and pot of custard come out, the custard was more skin than actually custard. The pie was hardly covered. So I asked for another pot that again was a silly small portion, that arrived as I'd almost finished the pie. Upon asking for the bill I'd been charged for an extra custard. As I question this the waitress got very grumpy and funny . This then tarnished the evening.
Ok... until we were challenged about the bill if your going after 5 dont sit near the play area its freezing. And I wouldn't recommend using the website they take ages to process the orders and we paid using the website got to the car and were followed out and told we hadn't paid the bill it was all settled on the website way before we left. They need to process things better!!!
Bloody freezing in the beer garden but so nice to be able to get. Staff very pleasant

Awful. Soup was unbelievably bland. I ordered ribeye steak medium. It was well done so I sent it back which I wouldn't usually do but it was terrible. My second steak was no better. Cauliflower cheese was watery, even the mash was dry. I know you get what you pay for but this was truly terrible. There were 6 of us out for dinner and 1 out of 6 enjoyed the meal.
Food was nice n service a bit slow but was on a bank holiday. Only complaint I have is was sat nr the door n doors open cause of covid n was cold. But food was nice n came out hot. Was the second time visiting and I would go again but not to be sat nr the mail doors.
Having 14 of us in one group didn't cause a problem. We had great service the waitresses were very attentive. All special requirements were sorted with out hassle. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
