Our passports needed renewing. We chose 3pm on a Thursday as a suitable visit time. We were second in the que and were served within 5 minures. 20 minutes later both my wife and I departed after completion of the process. During the the visit the que was no longercthan two and the wait about 6 minutes. Excellent service from these cheerful staff. The passports arrived the following Wednesday.

Short staffed and random hours thanks to Covid. The branch had been closed on Sunday when I went. I arrived today just before 5pm. The woman serving, Marina, shrieked at me that she couldn't possibly serve me as the man she was dealing with would take her past 5pm. The website says they close at 5.30pm. When this was pointed out by another customer, she then declared that they actually shut at 4.30pm as the sign said in WH Smith. I pointed out this was poorly worded sign in that case as it suggested that the 1 in 1 out system stopped and instead I was allowed to queue upstairs. She then continued ranting about being the lowest of the low and it all being WH Smith's fault. Thankfully the man serving, Chris, dealt with my parcel quickly and efficiently whilst Marina was still screeching about tasks taking her too long. Despite Chris' efficiencies I would suggest using an alternative branch.
Short staffed for a while now. Even worse since lockdown. Would recommend that you brave yourself for a long wait if you decide to come. Unless luck is on your side. Luckily WHSmiths sell books so pick up one of them on your way up.
Been there two time's to collect parcel. Still didn't get. Whenever I reach its closed for lunchtime... Such a horrible place.
