I ordered a takeaway from Silchar last night and it is my first time trying the food from them. I had read the reviews and found the food to be excellent and one of the best Indian meals I have eaten. This is saying a lot as I am a frequent visitor to India so praise indeed. I opted to collect the meal rather than wait the extra time and the service was great. Will definitely eat here again.

Really good food, our starters were huge! Super tasty. Staff also good. One star knocked off because it was very loud in there. Very! There are no table cloths, no carpet and very little else to absorb noise, so the noise of everyone else is very loud. Shame.

What a fantastic place! Had a really great meal at Silchar this evening. The food was fantastic and the service was that great combination of pleasant, efficient and unobtrusive. We will be going there again.
