We happened by this pub on our way to a convenience store from our mooring on the canal at Hinkley. There was a real sense of community about the place but as outsiders we were made to feel very welcome. Enjoyed our visit.

Similar to a previous post. We found the pub by accident whilst we were heading from the canal and our boat looking for a food shop. It wasn't mentioned in our canal guide, which was very strange given how close it is to the canal and how friendly the staff and locals are. We had a highly enjoyable evening here and will be back when we are in the area again. Dog friendly too.

Good service, friendly bar staff and regulars
Good old fashioned traditional local boozer. Well priced and a decent pint. Even the dog has it's own chair. Hand dryer in the gents needs repairing.
Great proper pub! Always a warm welcome from everyone. Wish they did food.
