All staff and the place itself makes you feel welcome from the first moment you enter the place. The food is great and the service up to the task. The location itself is full of history,everything inside makes you contemplate at long past times. Amazing experience,will visit again for sure.

Situated in a beautiful village, with great view this hotel-restaurant is located in a gorgeous building. Staff was really friendly and speaking english (not that usual here), which was helpful. They have kids menu and great chanterelle traditional cuisine. Decoration and staff dresses are traditional

Nice hotel in centre of village. Ideal position next to train station. Village has nice selection of shops. Ideal for exploring the Black Forest, by foot, car or train. Trains are free(except ICE, EU & IC) with a 'Konus' card from the hotel. The hotel is very comfortable. The bedroom, which was a single, had a table & 2 chairs & also a 3 seater setee. The bathroom was large, but the downside was the shower which had a low ceiling & high sided bath, which was difficult for me as I have a bad back. All-in-all, a nice hotel with an excellent restaurant with friendly & helpful staff.Would I stay there again - yes.

We had a meal at this establishment. And it was fantastic. Everything about this place was black forest . Very authentic. We enjoyed our experience and would advise anyone to enjoy this place as much as we did.
This hotel is situated in the middle of the village, right by the train station, with gorgeous views all around of the mountains and the forest. The food is very traditional, absolutely delicious and in large portions. You can walk it all off on the many little trails surrounding the village. We came in winter, so we did a lot of cross country skiing and playing in the snow to burn off the calories. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and the only thing they lacked was coffee and tea in the rooms. This isn't really bad as they have it at the bar, I just love drinking tea in my room. Make sure you get the black forest tourism card from the hotel, as this allows you free public transport and free ski rental. I'll definitely come back here in the future.
