A great museum, well worth a visit. Plenty of local related exhibits. My children 14yrs and 12yrs and I really enjoyed our visit.

William was a fantastic tour guide. Knowledgeable entertaining and enjoyable company. The museum has some real valuable items and some fantastic local and global historical artifacts and very important information.
An absolutely brilliant museum with very high quality displays of the archeology, geology, natural and social history of Hitchin and surrounding towns. Well researched for adults, interactivevsnd engagingbfor kids. Some truly stunning as well as some eclectic exhibits. Also temporary exhibitions in a separate gallery. Great cafe and very knowledgeable and interactive staff!
A lovely little Museum, that is modern inside and a cafe on-site for a bite to eat or coffee.
Well laid out, interactive, local interest, dressing up, rembrant etchings. All a museum needs to be and more.
A very well presented museum which is just the right size. A good range of topics on show from dinosaur bones and natural history, to the history of people and football in the area. Some high tech augmented reality exhibits too and plenty of interactive things to keep the digital natives engaged. The staff were really welcoming and friendly, and knowledgeable too, made an extra highlight to our visit. It's well located next to the centre too so always worth a visit while you're in the town.
Hitchin is currently very lucky to have a quite unique collection of Rembrandt prints on display at the North Hertfordshire Museum. On loan from the Ashmolean Museum, this exhibition is free to visit and will be here until April. It's very good. I would recommend anyone with even the remotest interest in art to go see. 10/10
Rembrandt exhibition is a wonderful experience, take this rare opportunity to see one of the foremost masters work in a different style. An exhibition of his print work explores his experimental works and shines a new light on his works, pop into the cafe for a wide and healthy selection of food offering a nice selection of gluten free vegan and small bite options.
