Absolutely brilliant food and portion sizes. Best chinese take away - would definitely recommend. Must taste even better in the restaurant. Friendly staff! Can't wait to go after lock down. Lovely Chinese New year meal.

I have to say that this is probably the best Chinese, especially in terms of eat as much as you like, I have ever been to. And I have been to a fair few. The restaurant is cosy enough, staff are very attenuative and the food has always been beautiful and served in good time even when very busy. The portions are generous and the price is reasonable for what you get. I can only recommend that you try this place to see for yourself. Might be worth waiting till after lockdown and book a table. It's also situated in such a nice town as Hitchin which is good for a walk after your meal.
I have to say you can’t go wrong here for good food and a wide choice of dishes. Every time I go I love it and everyone I’m with new people that rate it highly. Food cooked fresh and to perfection. If I had to be negative I would say drinks are over priced and watch out for the 15% surcharge for tips already included so no need for an extra tip. They also do takeaway which is just as nice when home only thing is it’s a minimum order of a set menu for 2 which when single means 30 for a takeaway if you have the craving for one.
We had a pre ordered take away on Sunday evening at 6pm. The first and second course dishes were not freshly cooked and the deep fried shredded beef was like bits of string. Crispy aromatic duck was also very dry. The main courses were better. The quality was not as good as we have enjoyed at the Regent Cottage over the last 30 years.
