We visited this lovely restaurant last night. Our booking was for 6:30pm and table had to be returned just before 8pm which was fine for us as we understand that other bookings had been made. We were seated and had a look through our menu, placed the orders. Food came in good time considering we ordered about 5 dishes. I have to say the staff were EXTREMELY attentive. We felt well taken care of. There was a nice atmosphere as well. It was pretty full so there were moments it got pretty loud but we didn't mind. Also was someone's birthday and the whole restaurant joined in singing her happy birthday which was lovely. Food was BEAUTIFUL. I was stuffed so they kindly packaged up the rest to take home. We've lived in Hitchin for over 2 years and alwags wanted to try this restaurant. We used to walk past and the aroma that would come from the building was captivating. So glad we finally got to go there! Price was great too. We ordered 5 dishes and it totalled to just under 50 which was amazing as we were expecting more hahaha! Will definitely be back.

We are very fortunate to have a number of very high quality restaurants in this area, and. Sukawatee is one of them. It's a very bright and vibrant environment, so if you are looking for a quiet night out this may not be the place for you. If, however, you are just looking to experience excellent quality Thai and Malaysian cuisine, then I can definitely recommend Sukawatee. The restaurant isn't trying to be something that it is not. It isn't flash or pretentious like some I have visited, but it IS charming and refreshingly simple. You will experience a very warm welcome, and an evening of smiles (Be prepared for LOTS of smiles, the staff are always wearing them!) Also, be prepared to look through a fairly extensive menu, and don't be afraid to experiment, for nothing will disappoint. Just one thing though, Sukawatee is very popular, so it may be wise to book a table in advance. Definitely a great experience to be had!

Good food , staff very nice although felt a little pressured to get in eat and leave. However you do have as everywhere does 1 hour 30 minutes to eat and leave ... will still return as food and staff were good

I went here for lunch. I thought it was really good value for money. The lunch box pictured was only 8 and was filling. I really liked the green curry in the lunch box. It was up there with one of the best green curries I have tried. There are loads of vegetarian options. My friends assured me this was a great place for vegetarians and as a result I forgot to ask about fish sauce! I only tried a limited amount of the food so would definitely come back to try more if the food does not have fish sauce!
