we booked an outside table for 4 people on arrival we was told we could only have food from the outside bit not much selection ordered pulled pork burger and chips the food arrived well it was a normal burger that was dry and tasteless with a bit of pulled pork on top there was one bottle of vinegar to go round the whole garden area hello covid my friend ordered a coffee and was told they had run out of milk and someone had to go out and get some 45 minutes later still waiting with cup of cold black coffee that they did replace such a shame a lovely place to sit but the food was awful not worth what we paid will not be doing that again in a hurry will still be visiting but avoiding the anchor.please ignore this review wrong place never been here once again apologies I got the wrong anchor.

I was in the area for work and just popped in.. Classic British pub and the staff behind the bar were lovely ladies.
All round very nice pub. Great prices for lovely stuff. Nice garden. Very clean pub. Good atmosphere and nice (affordable) Sunday lunches
Been many years since I was last here, and it has much improved. Only stopped for a quick drink but enjoyable visit and good honest staff.
We went at lunchtime. It was quiet and the food was lovely.
Went here for a Christmas drink with the football team after a game. Arrived at 11:30 as it said online they open at 11 but they actually open at 12. Mentioned this to them and they happily opened the doors and welcomed us all.
Great place, good food lovely staff
Great for traditional pub food at a good price. Friendly, helpful staff. Food is simple but well made and tasty. Price what you paid in a pub before they all tried to be restaurants.
