Stopped on our way home for a meal. Must say, the carvery was wonderful ! Great value but good quality. I would recommend the place and will definitely stop again, although perhaps the small or medium carvery, large was tooooooo big for me...lol...Thanks guys..

Just enjoyed a brilliant Sunday Calvary in the newly refurbished Highwayman. Really lovely food and great staff. Highly recommend a visit

Came today and was served by Kaz and Joe. The carvery was amazing, how fresh veggies, beautiful meats and great service. The thing that really made our visit stand out was how safe we felt whole we were there. There is someone whose job is just to clean. People are seated or wearing masks and the staff kept great control wile being professional and friendly. Honestly they could not have done more. Thank you guys, you will see us again.

We had a carvery tonight and the food was delicious and portions generous. The puddings were lovely too. Staff very friendly and helpful. We definitely plan to go back.

Very disappointed, food was burnt but cold by the time we got it! service at the bar was not good on this particular day (rude and unhelpful) although waitress was very good. A number of empty tables that needed cleaning from previous customers were left in this state the whole time we was there (approx 1 & half hour) the table we chose to sit as was clear but extremely sticky (waitress as I said was good but seemed rushed to do everything on her own!) We had to wait well over half hour for food to arrive which normally we wouldn't mind but the place was practically empty, only to be handed burnt bottom lasagne, wilted salad leaves and fries that were cold and wilted and very crispy eggs and garlic bread and toast for breakfast on cooked one side! We just couldn't be dealing with making a complaint as I dont think it would have got us far, no one apart from waitress willing to help customers, so we ate what we could (as very hungry) and left. This place has unfortunately gone downhill quick after its refurbishment, we went just after and you couldn't fault the place...such a shame.

Had an excellent experience here whilst staying nearby for work. I was served quickly and the food was all hot and tasty. Definitely a great place to stop for a pint and some grub. I was served by Caz and she couldn't do enough for me. Many thanks.

Visited recently with my family. Food was delicious and very excellent service! Would like to mention one staff member in particular which is Caz. She made us feel very warm and welcome and provided a friendly atmosphere for our visit to the pub so thank you Caz! :)

Great food, quite large portions. Staff are friendly and helpful. Service was a tad slow, but acceptable. I think that is more a sign of the times than anything else.
