Amazing stunning food. Cosy yet large, warm atmosphere, open fire and very quick service. Try it and find out for yourself. Fillet steak with Diane sauce, mushrooms, chips, salad and coleslaw just perfect.

Terrible service,left to wait far too long for food. My Sunday roast was average at best ,desert (cheesecake) was amazing,although waiting an hour and fifteen minutes is ridiculous!! Overall the food was average and for the price you pay not worth it! But what has forced such a bad review was the sloppy service,how on earth people are still booking here is beyond me,I certainly won't be coming back,and and I hope for the future this pub sorts out the way they treat their customers with a little more respect and at least try a little harder to make the customers visit seem a little more worthwhile!

Set in a quiet country location, requires driving along the narrow Hertfordshire lanes to get there. Cosy, traditional bar although the dining area is a comfortable modern extension. Good menu and McMullens ales on tap.
