The service staff were consistently warm, friendly and helpful. I especially loved the view of the harbour, but if you’re visiting in summer, choose a table a little further from the windows - it gets really warm. Food was great. Breakfast was laid out beautifully, with choices of yummy bacon and sausages, fruit such as apricots and strawberries, and choice of cereals. Dinner was equally good. I would have liked the roast pork to be a little crispier. The chicken with gnocchi was a generous portion.

DECENT FOOD IN A SPACIOUS SETTING The restaurant is within the Grand Chancellor Hotel and serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nothing fancy but decent quality and a good selection on the menu. Somewhat strange that you are charged extra for coffee when you dine in for breakfast!

Absolutely superb meal. The steak was about the best I've ever had. Melt in the mouth goodness and cooked to perfection. Lovely unobtrusive but attentive service. Will be back

The kitchen and staff at Restaurant Tasman always A1. The food was exquisite, having shared the Feed Me Menu. Definitely recommend Tasman, though Hobart is spoilt for wonderful experiences.
