We used Woodrow to draw up and submit plans for a single story extension to our property. After the initial consulation we tasked Woodrow to design, draw up and submits plans for Planning approval. Once the deposit was paid, two Architectural Technician sent out to measure the property. Initial drawings were sent out by one of the Architectural Technicians and we then had a single face to face consultation with Woodrow and the technician to discuss. What we wanted was quite simple and the design phase was quite straightforward, however all communications from this point on were with the Architectural Technician, and there was a lot of going back and forth amending the designs and at times I felt like they were just adjusting the drawings without really thinking about the feasibility of the project. The plan were submitted and the final balance was paid, from this point we did not hear another word. A few months later we recieved a letter in the post from a random company (not connected to the project at all) - "Sorry to hear that your planning permission was rejected... etc" they were offering services to appeal planning results. We looked up our application online to see it was rejected nearly 2 weeks prior. Not a single phonecall from Woodrow, nor one of his Architectural Technicians. When we called, and we eventually got to speak with Woodrow, he had no knowledge of the rejection and was very blasay about the rejection, basically saying there was nothing he could do and maybe we could appeal it. He didn't really have any advice on what to do next and we got the distinct impression that he'd washed his hands with project. That was the end of the entire process and we were left with a refused application, no support or advice from the architect we employed and a bitter taste in our mouth. I personally won't be dealing with or recommending Woodrow Barker to anyone I know.
