My wife and I just had our first visit to Riverside Nursery & Garden Centre and was thoroughly impressed. All the flowers and plants looked really healthy and well kept. They have a huge stock of plant pots, water features and garden ornaments, some of which we have not seen before, so it was really interesting wandering around and seeing their wonderful displays. The walk ways are nice and wide and thankfully there is a huge carpark. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and polite and prices seem fair. If you get hungry they even have a restaurant, although that was closed as we arrived late afternoon. We will most definitely visit this garden centre again and would absolutely recommend it. Please see my pictures so that you too can see for yourselves their interesting stock and healthy plants. The cafe; I've added this part to my original review as I've just been back to the garden centre and thought I'd pop in for a bite to eat. Apparently, I should have waited at the entrance to be shown to a table but unfortunately I didn't see that sign and just chose a table myself. This was obviously a mistake as the table still required cleaning from the previous people. I made my way to the counter to place my order and noticed that it was very difficult to find anything labelled with prices, a sure sign its more than likely going to be expensive. I wasn't wrong, 2 pieces of cake and 2 hot chocolate drinks was 15, not extortionate but certainly not cheap. At these prices I at least expect it to be nice, sadly it was very average. Out of curiosity I I decided to find out how much a Sunday Roast would cost, it was roast turkey today and that was 12.50. Cheaper in a pub! Enough said, I will go back to the garden centre but won't return to the cafe, just didn't think it was all that good and definitely not value for money. This part is not recommended.

Visited to when looking for a Christmas tree, good selection but none were 'the one' this year. Very impressed by the great selection of Christmas decorations to buy and made a couple of purchases. Also discovered they now have a lovely cafe called the garden room, definitely returning soon to try it out.

I really enjoy visiting this garden centre not only because of the plants but also because of the lovely gift shop and garden restaurant. Yesterday we visited so that our grandchildren could take part in the Halloween trail which they had fun completing and were even happier when they received their prize of chocolate coins. After buying them both a Christmas bauble to hang on their tree we headed to the cafe for the Halloween milkshakes containing edible eye balls which they thought were really cool. A fun hour or so to pass some time on a wintry day

Good selection of nice quality plants. Some reasonable prices some not so. Pays to look around but you can see that they take lovely care of their plants. Garden centres seem to be breeding Cafés too and this one looked quite popular despite what I would say is a highly priced option on food and coffee... more expensive than Starbucks!
