The Spa is what other pubs would like to be - a place where mates can meet and have a beer whilst watching sport or listening to music or playing cards or darts - and always know that they will know someone who knows someone who can fix a broken pipe or get a car repaired or get a path laid. Other pubs have to offer a wide range of food to get people to visit their premises. Fortunately The Spa also offers an adequate range of crisps and peanuts.

As usual great atmosphere. Staff really understand the Covid procedure but it's not made uncomfortable if that makes sense
What a great traditional pub staff and customers so friendly the manager FERGUS runs a smooth ship in difficult times with COVID-19 social distancing in place constantly the staff are cleaning but never intrusive great spot will be sure to visit again
Down on my luck with the hard life I’ve had, mum died before I was born I’ve always been a loner but never found somewhere I fit it... until I found the Spa. Fergus welcomed me in with open arms and I met the love of my life, a cheeky young lady named Stella. She showed me things I never knew possible and made me feel as though I were floating on the wisp of God’s locks... pork scratchings are a bit salty though 8/10 would come again.

always friendly to all and good atmosphere.
It has a decent collection of beers, a pool table, and it's great to put Finnish Death Metal on the jukebox to aggravate the locals. Also, now the the Bull has burned down, it's the closest pub to Hockey high street.
