Due to COVID-19, I found myself in situation where I was going to overstay the 90 day limit on my tourist visa. The German Government offered extensions provided you filed the proper paperwork. I was able to accomplish this with eMail exchanges. I found the persons there prompt, courteous, and professional. I have only praise, no complaints.

I went there but I have lost my waiting number which I got from my phone call to make an appointment. I was there when I met someone and asked for directions. Turned out, he was one of the officers. He asked me for my waiting number and I told him I lost it and he said, no worries, come to my office and immediately went through all my documents and got things settled. His female colleague was also in the same room and she was very friendly as well. After a few weeks with no news, I tried to call and check my application process, the woman who answered my call was also very friendly. Eventually, when I went to retrieve my permit, the ladies at the information counter were also super friendly and so helpful to explain some things which I had asked.

Termine werden wegen Corona nicht vergeben. Ok. Aber dass der Empfang einem nicht einmal die Abgabe des Jagdscheins zur Bearbeitung quittieren will, ist unmöglich. Der lapidar Verweis auf die Verwendung per Einschreiben ist juristisch nicht korrekt und eine Frechheit, weil man dann immer noch keinen Nachweis darüber hat, was sich in dem zugegangen Briefumschlag befunden hat. Das Landratsamt ist eigentlich Grund genug, in eine andere Kommune zu ziehen. So etwas habe ich bis heute noch nie erlebt!

Diese Erfahrung einfach wow. Ich rufe dort an, meine ersten beiden Anrufe werden nach erreichen des Warteschlangenendes einfach weg gedrückt. Der dritte Anruf stellte mich dann erfolgreich durch, die Frau am Telefon hat ihre Lustlosigkeit wunderbar kommuniziert. Sie sagte dann, dass ich bei den anderen Kollegen anrufen müsse, habe sie dann nach der Nummer gefragt, diese wollte ich gerade anrufen, als mir dann auffiel, dass das die Nummer war mit der ich bereits verbunden war.
