45 years back this place was totally covered by deep jungle and was a funeral place for Hindus. Vultures, Jackal and Hyena were the inhabitant of this place. People used to cross this place in groups. Gradually this place been developed to a new and small market area and people started constructing houses and buildings..afterwards this girls school was established and became a very good school in Hojai
