A busy place we came as our son wanted a fish n chips. Looked popular, waited a long time, but the food wasn’t great: much tooooo oily and no other taste rather than oil.... maybe this meets the taste of Hokitika people?

Yummy food and good service. Has tables outside to eat at which was nice! Good sized serving got me... at 1st I wanted more chips but by the end I was so full!

Quite shocked to see this has 3.9 stars only. A true classic kiwi fish and chip shop. No fancy stuff, just good fresh fish and chips, burgers, normal prices, would 100% go again. Really enjoyed it! Friendly staff too!

Not a bad fish and chips shop, chips are excellent and the fact you could choose which salt you wanted is really appreciated but the fact that the hoki that is being used seems to be frozen is a real shame. All in all good takeaway

Good food always! One downside is sometimes they mix up chicken and normal salt. One time they didnt put salt on the chips. Still good!!!

Great fish n chips. Had the Turbot & Rig both very fresh. The Rig was the tastiest of the two. Quick service would buy there again next time we go through Hokitika.

Had good reviews and ratings, pretty busy little place (which tells me they must have decent food). I asked the staff members about the lasagne; unfortunately no one had tried this item so I gave it a try. It was adequate for the price, however it could do with some salt and pepper. I probably would try the place again, but definitely a different meal.
