We returned a previously purchased safe by a different brand as they couldn’t provide any proof of their fire rating. I find it astonishing that they can advertise like this! We now have an LFS certificated safe from Burton Safes to store our documents in the knowledge that they are now safe in the event of a fire.

Poor waranty of products that is hidden behind a "2 year warranty" claim. They look for any excuse to make a service call out chargeable and don't allow you to see the thing causing the issue, or watch them fixing the safe so you have no way of disputing the spurious charges. These charges easily amount to several hundred pounds.

ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT Rarely does one find service worthy of praise, but in this case, the service was outstanding. Located in the Isle of Man, we encountered a problem with our safe not opening and since it was out of warranty, thought it best to call the manufacturer. I called the service department and spoke with Nick who proved knowledgeable, understanding and genuinely interested in being helpful. He ascertained likely possibilities and advised me as to a course of action. Later when that recommendation failed to fully rectify the problem, he offered additional information that solved the problem. In addition, he provided further advice to remedy the problem from recurring; following his advice the safe is back to full operational status. Safes are not something you buy everyday, but there is no question when the time comes for another safe it will be a Burton safe based on the first class treatment we received from Nick.
