Good for kids
No wheelchair-accessible entrance
Great place. Exceeded my expectations. A lot of places to explore in the mine by yourself. Easy accessible yet bit challenging too.

Very nice self guided tour trough the mine. I have visited at least 4 times over several years. Still think the price is a bit high
The mine it self is cool! But there is no control over how many pepople are being led in to the small mine were you have to move close past each other. And it seems like nobody that was pressent when we visited cared about social distancing.
great experience. especially with kids. you get to ecplore the mine all by yourself
Southern Sweden's most exciting \hole\. INTRO A few clicks outside of the county's city Vetlanda, you find Kleva Gruva in the forest. The mine, established in the late 17th century is since long only used as a tourist attraction. Once you've parked your vehicle you pay the fee of 120kr, as an adult, you obtain a helmet and a flashlight. If you're not fitted with good shoes and a jacket, that is also available to borrow, free of charge. THE MINE Venture the dark caverns, relying only on your flashlight at certain parts of the mine. Experience the underground pools, the mazes and steep walls of rock within. Bring warm clothes, for the temperature is around 1-3 degrees c inside the mine even at summer time. It's a great experience for ages between 5-55, and of course the still active 60 people! For the younger generations, there are also optional treasure hunts down the mine that leads to a small prize, once back at the summit. Happy mining good folks!
Arriving at Kleva Mine is wonderful, crackeling campfires, small cottages in the woods, Children running around having the time of their life. The site it self has a magnificent woodland scenery. Entering the mine is a diffrent experience filled with mystery, felt as though you better knock on the rock to alert Gruvrået, the spirit of mine. A long and narrow gray tunnel goes straight into the rock. Reminds me of the hymn in Hobbit \To dungeons deep and caverns old\. A long and narrow tunnel lead into a huge cavern with a breathtaking dome, a small light from above illuminates the misty chamber. It has many chambers and great acoustics, you can visit the hall of the mountain king and see the white Madonna, a lime like figure that looks as if a Madonna praying. Exploring the mine is very easy, I felt like Steve in Minecraft exploring the underground. Kinda expensive, but it is worth it, you get a helmet (much needed if you are above 6 feet tall) and torches, there are treasure hunts and crossword quests inside. Truly an astonishing experiance! Love it and I will return some day!
An old mine, not for the claustrofobic, which lets you explore deep down the earth. Except a temperature of 2 degrees.
Nice place to explore!
