Diabolical.! My wife and I have been with them for just over a year, our monthly prescriptions - problems every time. Service is useless, am changing to Lloyds. Not even worth the 1 star.

Terrible every time I visit, I try to avoid this boots like the plague (which if you got would be less of a trauma then going to this place). Medication is never ready and staff on the whole are miserable and condescending....... sorry but a one off I understand every single time is just poor management.

The chemist are trying there best to provide a service in very cramped conditions. Before the pandemic, they had two doors into the pharmacy, customers have no idea who should be served and staff are finding it frustrating! Can I suggest a number system. Often prescriptions are not in, which means repeat journeys, The GP surgery have taken on too many patients with Shebbear closing. Putting pressure on both chemists. Boots need bigger premises, more space which would help with the extremely busy practice and a more streamline efficient service. Also employ someone to answer the phone!! check orders are in and give a sensible time to pick up from a separate area. It's not the staffs fault, it is a big company sort it out Boots.

For the third time running went to collect prescriptions on the prearranged date to be told not ready as they were late sending out to outsourcing. One prescription is 4 days late, one 3 days late and the other now one day late. This should not be happening every month surely with a month to organise ,if it is necessary to send them away to be filled then send earlier so that that are ready on the arranged date for collection. Also when we are trying to cut down on plastics usage why is it that these outsourced prescriptions come back wrapped in plastic!. Having a 16 mile round trip to collect it is infuriating and a waste of time and money!

Poor counter service! Talking amongst themselves seems to be more important than serving customers.
